3 DAYS OF CRIME CLEAN UP IN PATTAYA

Due to, Pol.Lt.Gen. Theerayut Kittiwat, Commander in Chief section 2, had commanded to police of all areas in section 2, to clean up all crimes about Guns, Drugs, All vices and Theft, in order to give the evidential results before district election. Police expressed satisfaction with the 3-day’s results.

At 10am, on August 24th, 2008, in front of Banglamung police station, the team operation joined to publish the news of police combining force to eliminate all crimes between August 22 – 24, 2008.

The clean up operation concentrated on drugs, stolen goods and dangerous weapons. The haul after Sunday morning’s efforts resulted in 16 suspects possessing guns, 1 gun and modified .38mm gun (BB Gun), 93 drugs users with the evidence of 3,000 Yah Bah tablets, 0.5 gram of Yah Ice. In addition, 71 suspected drug dealers were arrested along with some gambling and Illegal lottery operators.

The police team was consisting of:

Pol.Lt.Gen. Theerayut Kittiwat, Commander in Chief section 2,

Pol.Maj.Gen. Bandit Khunajak, Commanding officer, Chonburi,

Pol.Col. Jamnong Rattanakul, deputy commanding officer, Chonburi,

Pol.Col.Pairat Supasawas, deputy commanding officer, Chonburi,

Also with 8 police stations officers in superintendent level, deputy superintendent, police inspectors and police team in Chonburi, Laem Chabang, Sriracha, Koh Sichang, Bor-win, Banglamung, Pattaya, Sattahip and Plutalueng.

The results of crime elimination works from 22nd – 24th August are follows:

Sriracha station: police arrested 6 people possessing guns with the evidence of 6 guns, 1 suspect in motorbike theft, 13 drugs users with the evidence of 45 Yah Bah (amphetamine) tablets and 25 gamblers.

Laem Chabang Station: police arrested 3 suspects who violated gun Act with the evidence, and 3 guns with 2 bullets, 13 drugs users with the evidence of 1,623 Yah Bah tablets and 1 case of suspect attacking people.

Banglamung Station: police arrested 17 drugs users with the evidence of 158 Yah Bah tablets and a pack 0.5 gram of Yah Ice (methamphetamine), 5 gamblers, 3 suspects possessing guns with the evidence of 3 guns with 29 bullets, 1 suspect with an arrest warrant and confiscated 52 motorbikes to be investigated.

Pattaya Station: Police arrested 24 drugs users with the evidence of 72 Yah Bah tablets, one suspects possessing a gun with the evidence of one .38mm gun, 3 motorbike thieves with the evidence of a motorbike, 3 illegal foreign suspects, 28 gamblers and 1 suspect with violated goods (25 imitated Rolex watches).

Sattahip Station: police arrested 18 drugs users with the evidence of 219 Yah Bah tablets, 3 suspects possessing guns with the evidence of 4 guns and 76 bullets, 1 suspect with an arrest warrant.

Koh Sichang Station: police arrested 1 drugs user. Bor-win Station: police arrested 6 drugs users with the evidence of 13 Yah Bah tablets, 1 suspect possessing a gun with the evidence of a gun.

Plu-talueng Station: police arrested 3 drugs users with the evidence of 3 Yah Bah tablets and 2 illegal foreign suspects.

Pol.Lt.Gen. Theerayut Kittiwat, Commander in Chief section 2 revealed that, at present, there are crimes occurring in the local areas of Chonburi province, which is mostly related to guns and drugs. Police from all stations had been commanded to eliminate all crimes seriously, in order to give the evidential results. Therefore, this crime wiping out session was a successful one. Presumably, the crime problems should be subsided.

YES!!! They finally arrested 1 suspect with 25 fake "LOLEK" watches!! Good Job Pattaya Police!! :o:D:D

(from the cafe I am sitting on right now I can see 4 guys selling fake watches, 2 selling fake bags and 5 selling fake branded t-shirts, wallets and belts)
