I have checked a few profiles and found that hardly any of them have any info in them, like nothing at all. Why is that? It's like you put in the city you live in and your age and everyone will instantly know exactly who you are?

I don't know why? Maybe you can answer that question yourself since your profile includes just the same with the exception of a 'few' interests. If you call 'getting the bolt out of the treadmill' an interest....

PS.... At least my profile includes a link to a blog I created for my daughter. I am sure that many have overlooked that link....Oh well the less you find out about me, the more rewarding my life can surely be....

there was a time I had lots of visitors to my profile too. I think someone started a thread about how many visitors/profile views they have had, and from there on everyone started to come up with tactics to get people to visit their profiles

(rather silly but fun for a bit of distraction)

Actually I started a thread sometime last year suggesting that those who wrote nothing in their profiles must have sinister rreasons for doing so. I must have got too near to the bone as it was stopped quite quickly!!!! I personally don´t mind who knows where I live or how old I am... I was a spy in Berlin from 1976-79.........listening in on the East German government (honestly... I worked for GCHQ in Cheltenham) ... and I don´t mind who knows it........

Absolutely !! I put my little toe over the forum rules and now I have a very healthy number of visits from the stick wielding Mods ! Obviously my ex Rocker days are catching up with me. Interestingly, I have noticed scores of posts that drive whole trucks over the forum rules but nout happens ?? Why is that ? I'm not sure on the exact difference between an idiot ( my crime ) and a moron ( someone elses )

Unlike professional forums I belong to, the ThaiVisa forum isn't the type to add real information so I ignore the profiles.

If someone comes across as clever, I'll check their past posts to be further entertained.

If someone keeps being a horses butt, I sometimes look to see if the option to ignore has magically appeared. But (sigh), so far it's not to be.
