I would like to know how much expenses does one need for an average living in Bangkok.

4 yrs 5 months and 1 post, i could live on 50-70000 bht a month quite happily so long as i didnt have a bird or a chavvy.

For Pattaya I could get by on my own with about 50,000 baht, reasonable accommodation, cooking most of my own meals.

As I have a family I have to multiply by three to cover school fees and my wife's belief in everlasting money trees.

But for Bangkok, living a very quiet life, 70K per month is probably at the low end.

Depends what you call average, you can live really cheaply here if you want to but where is the fun in that. 60K should be OK if you don't want to go overboard.
