Hi all.

Just wondering what your thought were on the flooding in Chiang Mai. We are travelling there on the 20 Sep to the 30 Sep and staying in the old city then at Tambol Pongyeang Aumphur Maerim.

Can ayone let me know if thisd is a good plan. I have already invested in the accomodation.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi GregAU

I am living in Chiang Mai. I think there were some flash floodings due to heavy rain one night (may be Sat?). I think you should be OK though - the city doesn't seem to be affected (I wasn't affected myself and didn't hear anyone complaining about it!).

Pongyang is in the mountains so I wouldn't think you'd have any problems with flooding there. The restaurant at Pongyang & Doi Mountain Resort is fantastic and right next to the waterfall. You should check it out when you're there!

Enjoy your trip! :o
