Burn After Reading

Have noticed that most american movies that makes it over here are blockbusters, but I really want to see "Butn After Reading", the new Coen movie. Is there any cinemas in Bkk that shows that kind of movie? Guess if they showed "No Country For Old Men", it would be a safe bet.

One of the Siam Sq. theaters shows indy and smaller run movies sometimes, and also the House theater in RCA shows indy movies from time to time. Both of them publish showtimes on Movieseer

I'd expect "Burn After Reading" to show up here sometime over the next 3 to 6 months, but since it has Brad Pitt and George Clooney maybe sooner? "No Country for Old Men" showed at one or two theatres here (Lido/Scala) about 5 months after release in the U.S.A. It's gotten mixed reviews as the comedies in the Coen Brothers Drama/Comedy/Drama/Comedy.... cycle often do.

i want to see it too (love most cohen bros flicks) but some US movies take their sweet time to get to the theaters here. you will probably find it on DVD before then.

i am also still waiting for pineapple express.

I'd be surprised if a stoner movie like Pineapple Express would be approved for Thailand. There is constant drug use throughout the movie, they'd have to blur half the film.

It's on the Apex Lido website as "coming soon" but no specific date. If the relative position means anything maybe mid-November?

I saw it in the U.S. and thought it was incredibly bad. What a waste. Painful to see so many great actors working with such a flimsy script.

"Tropic Thunder" is due next week. I actually thought that it was really good; Tom Cruise, Matthew McConnaughey and Steve Coogan are all stand-outs. Tom Cruise definitely steals this one!
