Some Questions About Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

So I have a few days to spend in Chiang Mai and some questions to go:

Where can I go do some off-road motorbiking? Is there somewhere I can practise first as Ive never done this motorbike before?

Where is a good place to buy electronics like Pantip in BKK?

Is there wildlife close to Chiang Mai, 1 day trip, elephants, monkeys?

Thanks!

There is no end to the places to go off road motorcycling around Chiang Mai......But you would be better to learn how to do it before you come otherwise you may spend your holiday in hospital.

There is Pantip Plaze in Chiang Mai also, it's on the corner of Chang Khlan Rd. and Sri Doncha Rd. about 500 metres from the Night Bazaar, also Computer Plaza and a few other joints around the town.

Yes, elephants are around Mae Sa Valley. Monkeys are at the zoo and a few around Loi Kroh Rd as well.

Thanks!

You're welcome.

No experience with any of them, just some places to check out by yourself (definitely including the training possibilities):

And Icon Plaza next door to Computer plaza. If you come from Huay Keaw Road with Kad Suan Keaw (=Central) on your right, heading moat, go straight at traffic lights. A little further at your left there's first Computer plaza, then Icon plaza.

Huay Thung Tao is worth a visit as well. You can stay at the lake, do some fishing or swim, and fill the stomach with BBQ chicken or walk up (and down) the mountain.

Another option is Chiang Dao. Wonderfull scenery, and onlyabout 1 hour North of Chiang Mai.

For further idea's just visit the pinned subject 'days out': http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Days-t8171.html

Wish you a nice stay in Chiang Mai. :o
