Correct Procedure For Setting Up A Company

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm being offered a position by a company from India that wants to sell here in Thailand. They do not have an office in Thailand. To be legal, do they have to open a shop here, can it be done through a 'consultancy' entity or would it perhaps be best to act as a sub-contractor ad do it through my own company?

Of course, then my salary is shown as revenue in my company and I will need to offset it with expenses I would think. But I am pretty certain, they would like to avoid the joys of opening an office here that required them to have a 51% Thai partner.

As I am American, I suppose we could take advantage of the Treaty of Amity if it is still around, but then I am of course the one liable for any cockups by them.

Any thoughts on how you would approach it and what lawyer or business service could accomplish it with the least amount of pain?

Thanks,

Go and see a legal company, they will give you the best advice applicable to your situation, such as some of the companies advertised on TV

The only company I ever see on here is Sunbelt, and I am sure they are good, but I would like to know of other options as well.

Who else is specializing in this space, so to speak?

Thanks,
