Good Bangkok Visa Run Operator

Hi all.

I'm due the first of my multiple entry visa runs by the end of next week.

I was going to go and get the bus and do it myself but looking into it, it doesn't seem that it would really cost that much more to use a visa run operator?!

Can anybody recommend a good one??

I live in Bangkholame, quite close to Saphan Taksin. I think I'd prefer a slightly later trip.

I've googled and seen a couple who seem alright. I just wondered if any were particularly good or any that I shouldn't touch with a barge pole!??

Jackgolf, Thaivisarun.com and Thaivisaservice.com are all three quite good, you can take the skytrain to where those are starting from, Jack golf from lower Sukhumvit, Thaivisarun.com from Ekkamai (soi 63) and thaivisaservice starts from Tesco On Nut.

I've used "Sawasdee Transport Service Co Ltd" run by Claudio & Amonrat Mattioli and thoroughly recommend it.

Aircon minibus, careful (honestly!) Thai drivers, Claudio and/or his good lady travel with you and there's a great experience (helpful, friendly and smiling Immigration Officers not wanting tea money!) at Mukdaharn Immigration point - in fact, if the rest of MFA behaved like the staff at Mukdaharn their reputation would quickly be a force to be envied naionally.

Here are the folks I use... They leave from a coffee shop right at Ekamai BTS station, so it's an easy BTS trip for you. And they leave later... 9:30 am and get back about 7 pm... They go to Ban Leam, Cambodia, which is quicker and less busy than Poipet... Figure the all in cost at 2000 baht... Nice large tour bus for transport, box lunch included.

I just returned from a visa run to Laos using Claudio's service. I too highly recommend it. Claudio checks everybody's passport first and lets you know what visa you're eligible for, what overstay fees to pay if any and so on. His wife travels ahead of the group to Laos and waits for them at the border. She is very helpful and likable. Our drives were very professional and experienced. They dropped us off where we asked. And yes, the group is a very happy bunch. Guesthouse had internet access too though the food and drink there seem kind of expensive. Meeting place is Tesco Superstore parking lot, just next to On Nut BTS. You can't miss it.

Is it true that Jack's has reduced it prices from 2,200 to 2000 baht? It still says 2200 on the website but obviously hasn't been updated for ages.

Having been in the Land of Smiles for many years, I too have done my fair share of visa runs. I have travelled with all the companies listed above and then some - another excellent visa run operator in Bangkok that I can recommend is: ThaiVisaRunService dot com - you can call them at: 080-068-5827

They don't waste time at the border, which I like since I find the Cambodian border to be a dreary place and the driver wasn't a jackass putting everyone's life at risk, there's a good lunch and smooth service.

I used these guys today and, frankly, if they're considered good, I can't begin to imagine what the bad ones are like. Their tour bus has such a spine-jarring ride, you'd swear some idiot had fitted it with Koni shocks and Eibach anti-roll bars. Honestly, the thing's more like a track car than a coach which makes it impossible to catch 40 winks or even drink the water they provide. And, before anyone suggests it, the road quality was fine. On several occasions, we were alongside other coaches and their passengers' heads weren't bobbing around like Michael Schumacher's on a qualifying lap.

If anyone can recommend a service with a decent vehicle, I'd use it even if it cost significantly more.

They take you to a really quiet Cambodian border (Ban Laem) in a minibus with DVD player. where you get free buffet lunch at the casino (It is nothing like Poi Pet, it's always empty) while they take care of your documents. 1 hour later and your back on your way. In total about 10 hours and 2000 baht (my visa costs 1900 to renew anyways haha).

They leave from Tesco Lotus On Nut at 7am everyday (except sunday I believe) at the KFC.

Reading some of the reviews here, are thaivisaservice.com and their minivans still the best or should I go for the big noisy bus that belongs to thaivisarun?

I am tall so need a bit of legroom if thats important.

Claudio and his wife do a pretty good job with their visa runs. And they're very approachable, too. They could have made more money from me by advising me wrongly about issues, but they didn't.

This is all nonsense. All you need to do is go to the Victory Monument BTS stop, get off and go to Century dept store (directly below the stop). On the side there are a number of mini bus operators. The one that runs to Aran is left-ish side. Arrive early - I always get a window seat or right in the front. Bus leaves at 7:50am/800am from Century You can get a lift to the market for only B235 I think it is, from there it is 5 minute walk over the border.

Get your Cambodian visa at the yellow building right side and do not listen to anyone attempting to proffer you a visa. Be careful about this.

On your return, there are minivans that run roughly every hour from across the 7-11.

The minivans are clean and new because Thais would not accept anything less. You only run into dodgy buses when you go with visa services for fArAnG.

There are no longer any hassles with getting your visa on the border.

Don't be a dope, learn how to DIY and enjoy being free and in Thailand as a real human being and not a visa lemming.

* You will only run into crazy drivers when on fArAnG buses. I have never had any such problems in years of this run from real Thai bus companies. Totally sane drivers.

You will also spend lots more time waiting about for the other lemmings if you take a tour.

Big bus may add time to your trip. they are very slow. This may be made up as mv's have to always fill up on NG/V.

Yes, that's Claudio and his wife. I just used them again recently. Really good people, safe drivers, and a comfortable trip. At 1900 baht you can not go wrong. Claudio is German by the way. Lunch is not free anymore but 50 baht will get you rice, a fried egg, and an entree.

I don't know if you live in Thailand? I've been living here for over 15 years and everybody who's been living here for some time knows that you get only 15 days at the border (30 days at the airport). If you want more, you need to get a proper visa that you can only get by going to Embassies abroad. There is NO 90 day stamp at the border like in Malaysia.

I can not more recommend Jack Golf Visa run, alwasy trouble with the bus. I guess the have a new owner. In Febuary I saw the first time new staff. The service is not more like before und cost 2100.00 Baht.

I cant believe Jack Golf are still having problems with the bus. I only went with them once and the bus broke down in the middle of nowhere and they had to flag down minivans to take us back to victory monument. The minivan driver was a complete maniac, ignored pleas to slow down and I cant believe I didn't punch him when we got out. Never again.

I took the visa run with Jack Golf for more than 7 years. Mostly it was OK and with a nice service, but I have mad absolutely the same experience then guru in October 2011. The last time for me with the old staff. This year in August I had the last run with Jack Golf, the worst what I ever had. Not again. I heard it from the another guys in the Van also, always a problem with the big bus and a crazy driver.

Nonsense, plenty of people already have multi-entry visas, or double entry Tourist Visas, they get the appropriate 90 or 60 days upon entry.

Believe he was saying there is no 90 day visa exempt entry (not entirely true as some countries do get that) as most countries get for Malaysia. For Thailand it is normally 30 days by air or 15 days by land.

Yeah! They are really good. I am here on Non "O". Whenever we reached to border, we are the only group. Merely in 40-50 mins. they will finished everything. In my experience, whenever I traveled, we reached there at 2PM and leave it approx. 2:45-3 PM.

Bus is nice. Staff is very friendly, lunch box is really plus size. I would like to recommend this immigration post as compare to Aranyaprathet for Thai visa run to Combodia.

Best thing is an immigration check out and check in line. You will find ONLY YOUR GROUP.

I find it hard to believe that anyone can say that Claudio's drivers are safe.....................I have never been so scared, 140km/h in the pouring rain, tailgating the vehicle in front !

we got back to Bkk, and despite telling the driver the easiest way to drop us off at our respective points he drove around like a headless chicken and added 2 hours to our trip, not really what you want at the end of a long journey.

I will never use them again because of their drivers, and to those who think they are safe, I would hate so see what you consider unsafe.
