Hi

We are new to Rawai.

Looking to make bone broth soup from beef or chicken bones for my daughter who is sick with high fever (day 3).

Prefer animals not given hormones, steroids, or fed chemicals.

I see the yellow chickens in the market but I don't know how long they sat in the hot sun.

I don't believe Don's mall beef is hormone free. But not certain. If anyone knows please respond.

Back home we get hormone free, antibiotic free animals that range on grass. I know this is Thailand and don't expect that but what kind of meat are we eating in the local markets or Tesco Lotus? I don't speak Thai much so am asking here.

Where to get the best meat I can get in Southern Phuket?

Thanks in advance.

Southern Phuket will be a bit difficult. Central always carry a good quality of beef, chicken and pork...but I don't know if they have an 'organic' one. I have never seen one in Phuket though :-(

I also like the quality of the chicken, pork, beef (some of it) in Central - at Tops in the basement of Central. They also have imported legs of lamb from New Zealand and saw some frozen turkeys today (yum - Christmas coming!) though no idea if any of this produce is hormone-free, organic or whatever.

Surprised that Don hasn't come up with an answer for you on his produce at Don's Mall. Maybe you could send him a PM on here? I like Don's homemade burgers and he's got some real nice sausages - love the Chicken n Basil sausages which actually taste like chicken (so many chicken sausages taste like nothing on Earth).
