October 30, 200817 yr I'm considering hypnotherapy as a treatment and I was wondering if anyone else has had any experience of this? Did it work for you? Would you recommened it?
October 30, 200817 yr I used to smoke 40 a day. I had one 50 minute session in 1993. I haven't smoked since. Worked for me.
October 30, 200817 yr I would actually like to try it, reprogramming the mind sounds pretty useful. Wonder if there are places that offer courses in selfhypnosis as well
October 30, 200817 yr Well, I had it once and it worked great but I was doing it just to remember something that had no particulal emotional baggage to it (I needed to pass a test on sudden notice on a foreign language I had studied 25 years ago and never used). It not only worked but was a great experience. I think much would depend on the skill of the hypnotherapist. If the issue at hand is emotionally sensitive would do well to be sure it is an qualified pyschologist who does it as opposed to only someone trained in hyonosis. I believe the Tria Center has someone on staff buit no idea of qualifications. You could also try the various places listed on the pinned mental health notice.
