Rock City - Patong

Actually there was no plan to close the rock city at beach road..! (nothing really to do with the "new" location)

I heard some rumors that the rent was not paid quite a while already.....

"(nothing really to do with the "new" location)"

You are in business here in Phuket? It makes sense to you to pay rent at two spots for the same venue? It's not Starbucks or McD's...........

Originally they did claim thier intention was to run 2 locations with the same brand.. Hard to believe but thats what they said..

Also I note the 'Rock City Restaurant' billboard on the Patong hill.. 'Food that Rocks'.. Could this be the proposed adaption ??

Passed the beach Road yesterday and saw that Rock City was being dismantled, anyone with some inside news?

MC

They opened in a new location at Bangla and 200 Year Rd.

You're big on Metallica tribute bands eh MC?

Not big fan, but do enjoy some of the tempo tunes. All styles have their good and bad tunes.

I know it's hard to be master all the time! :D:D:o

No worries, from what I heard from ownership the rent at the Patong Beach Road location was somewhat outrageous, so businesswise it didn't seem to make much sense (or satangs) to try to run both.

The new location should do much better.

The "Food That Rocks" sign is for Hard Rock Cafe opening in the new Marriot Courtyard hotel near OTOP markets.

Can you please ask him to put railings up on the balconies of his rooms at Club Andaman before we have any more unnecessary tragedies?
