November 18, 200817 yr I have been floating around 90 kilos after a trip to hongkong. I would like to be 85-86, and usually am, but i am having trouble getting it down. i know most of the answers but i do have one question. my morning meal always consisted of a mixed fruit plate and coffee [with milk]. about 2 months ago i switched to a smaller plate of fruit, banana and pineapple, and a bowl of porridge/oatmeal [nothing added except water and raisins] which I thought might be healthier. could this combination keep me from losing the weight. it is the only thing different i have done thanks
November 20, 200817 yr Author since no one replied I stopped the oatmeal this morning and just had the fruit. I dont know which is better for you, but i don't think the combo was doing anything but keeping weight on me thanks for the help
November 20, 200817 yr Only thing that worked for me to lose weight was cutting portion size, eating less. I don't know that oatmeal will actually keep weight on but it is good for your heart, lowers cholesterol. so that is something to bear in mind
November 20, 200817 yr The oatmeal porridge is not likely to keep you from loosing weight as long as you don't add any sugar. Upping exercise is probably a good thing, just take a walk instead of taking a taxi if time allows, and stay clear of sugar as much as possible. Have a think about what you eat/drink and what you can not be without, then cut out all the stuff that contains sugar. I went from 99 to currently 76KGs about 3 years ago following these simple rules. Good luck and keep it up! /bbp PS. Dont believe in any "beer/wine/alcohol makes you fat" its nonsense, its just empty calories, its what you eat WITH it that is converted to fat. Edited November 20, 200817 yr by BangkokBP

November 20, 200817 yr It really is simple. Eat less Exercise more. When I say eat less I don't mean cutting out breakfast or lunch. Eat smaller portions at regular intervals. Let the body know that it will get constant supply of food and thus makes it less prone to fat storage.
