Only one thing to add: In slangy speech, the word for "speak" or "say" is often totally ommitted, leaving "khao waa" high + falling only. But for the all-purpose first one to memorize before the others, I think "khao bork waa" (high + low + falling) is best. The pronoun "khao" meaning "he/she/they" is normally pronounced with a high tone in everyday speech even though its spelling in Thai dictates it should take the rising tone.
