Hi All,

Does anyone have any idea on how to dispose of old hardware in Bangkok? Over the years, I have amassed a large pile of PC junk: power supplies, mice, keyboards, lan cards, other types of cards, flat cables, hard disk drives, floppy drives, CD drives, etc, etc, etc. Most of it is old and broken to some degree.

It doesn't seem right to just toss it all into the trash bin (not environmentally friendly either.) It would be nice to get a few baht for the pile but that's not important... I just want to get rid of it.

If anyone has any idea, please let me know.

Thanks!!!

Easy that!!

Bring the stuff to recyclers, they will pay you money - or bring it to computer repair shops.

OR if you are lazy: Put it in a box outside the house and attach a sign "Free" (in Thai). Stuff will be gone before you can turn around.

Similar topic, what about an old lap-top should I worry about the confidencial bits? Identity theft is my concern. I should like to give it away. If I use the recovery disc would that clean it up?

Hi :o

I'd like to have it if you don't mind. Looking for a laptop to experiment around with (Linux) but don't want to buy one as it won't really be used, it's really just to play and experiment. Any data that's on it will be destroyed anyway.

Kind regards....
