I'm beginning to get tired of IE7.

I recently switched to Vista Ultimate, and now I get a persistent "Flash10a.ocx" error... and I'm not even sure that this is related to my Vista, but I never had it with WinXP... I don't mean that I can't run IE... but occasionally, like once every browsing period, This error pops up and crashes the whole Browser.... usually when I have either the Bangkok Post or NYTimes pages open in one of my tabs. I do have IEPro installed, so I can recover my tabs, most of the time... But even that works inconsistently.

In my WinXP days I was a major user of AVANT but recently that too has developed some issues for me, and now it won't even load any Flash from NYTimes pages if I'm downloading Torrents... plus I find it freezes up on me a lot too.

Chrome is cute and may become meaningful sometime in the future.. but let's be honest... It's still an EARLY Beta.. not even close to being there yet.

Opera.. well every time I load it, I end up totally frustrated by my inability to get it configured just like I want it... and I always have issues with how it's Tabs work. I usually keep it on my desktop when I can't get something done with IE... But now I have Chrome to do that.

and... That Big Bully.. Firefox... the Browser that wants to take over the world... I'm not sure why I dislike it enough to not even have it installed anymore... maybe it's the "holier than thou" attitude of it's geeky user base... BUT... every time I do try it I always dump it over the same issues... First, Sorry, but "I don't like it's GUI"... Not Intuitive enough for me... and secondly, I hate having to search for and install add-ons.... I like having a browser with everything I need built in... already from the Get-go to "Rock & Roll"... It may be the Best thing after sliced bread, but I'll only go back there if I can't find another option first.

So my question is... Before I Download IE8 and screw up my Install of IE more than it is already... Is it Ready yet??

Yes, I know it's still in Beta... BUT.. repeat... BUT... many Betas are reading and work perfectly a long time before they are released as a final...

Has IE8 reached this stage yet?

Does it crash a lot?

It is supposed to have a crashed protected interface that will only Crash the Tab, not the whole browser (something like Chrome has).. does it work?

Any issues with Reopening a browser and losing Tabs after a shutdown or Crash?

Any issues running Java, or any other add-ons?

How about the Ad-Blocker? Is there one? Does it work? Will I still need a 3rd party blocker?

(At the moment Ad-Muncher has a problem and I can't run it until the fix, scheduled for the next update.. when ever that happens.)

IEPro seems to handle this well in IE7.. will I need it in IE8?

Duhhh....Does IEPro work with IE8?

Any problems with Favorites handling or interface?

How about issues with resources or RAM usage?

IF I want to go back to IE7, can I do it? Any issues or problems about that?

Any Problems or issues at all???

Anything???

Anybody???....

Anybody???....

Anybody???....

Beuller?

Have you tested the latest version of Safari 3.2.1? Maybe you check that on, I posted the link a few days ago.

Cheers.
