Thai students sweep medals at International Science Olympiad. :D

BANGKOK, Dec 14 (TNA) - Thai students have come away from the First International Science Olympiad (IJSO) with two gold medals and four silver medals, the Secretary-General of the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), Mrs. Pornnipha Limpaphayom, revealed today.

Mrs. Pornnipha said that all the six Thai representatives had won medals at the Olympiad, held in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta from 5-14 December.

The two gold medallists were named as Phatraphol Witsakphan from St Gabriel's School, and Jinis Wangtrakundee from Satri Witaya School.

Silver medals were won by Phakphuam Angphanitcharoen from Bangkok Christian College, Noraphat Kositsripanya from Chitralada School, Sorasit Jirawichitchai from Suan Kulab School and Jenwit Wongboonsin from Sarasat-ektra School.

The OBEC secretary-general congratulated the students on creating a good reputation for themselves, their families and their nation, and called on all students to develop their scientific skills.

All the six students returned to Bangkok this afternoon. (TNA)
