December 2, 200817 yr Just before I left the UK 3 weeks ago, the VFS site pop up with latest visa fees stated the settlement visa costs 4250 Baht. I looked today at the site and it states 28,000 Baht or such like. can someone tell me the fee please (515 as the price in Pounds) as I'm flabbergasted at the increase if this is the case.

It's £515 and has been about this much for a very long time. 28k baht is abotu 54 to the £, so is about right. It has certainly not been as low as you said. I think you must have looked at the wrong visa cost. Edited December 2, 200817 yr by CharlieB
December 4, 200817 yr 28k for the fee to do yourself, so how much is the going rate now if you go with the visa agencies, also what price the TB certificates fingerprints etc.....
December 4, 200817 yr TB certs cost THB2600. Fingerprints etc. are done at the VAC and included in the price of the visa application. As for agencies, I wish I could say that you get what you pay for. Unfortunately most so called agencies in Thailand overcharge and underperform, that is they rip their victims off. Especially those run by Brits who claim to be qualified but are not. In the vast majority of cases a little bit of preparation and research means that an agent's help is not required. However, if one feels the need for professional help then the only sensible way is to employ an agent qualified and regulated in the UK; remember that it is UK immigration law that will decide the application. This means either a solicitor specialising in immigration or an advisor registered with Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner.
December 4, 200817 yr All agencies have different price structures some are more expensive than others just email or contact them direct if they cannot help you they will point you in the direction of an adviser who can.
