I will be spending about 5 months travelling around southeast asia next year. I'm coming from the U.S. and am a U.S. passport holder/citizen. It looks like my arrival city and quite possibly departure city 5 months later will be Singapore. During my stay I will most likely visit Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Indonesia. I know that as I travel around I will be able to obtain the visa(s) needed for entry into some countries at the border or a few days in advance through a few different means. Soooooooo...Is there any need to worry about anything visa-wise in advance? From what I have read it seems everything can be done when I get there and move from country to country but I'm trying to make sure of this before booking everything. Any input or info will be greatly appreciated!

For Thailand it will depend upon whether you enter by crossing at a border or are flying in.

The rules have just changed. If you enter Thailand now at a border you will only get 15 days. If flying in you will still get 30 days.

Laos and Cambodia you can get a visa on arrival at most border crossings and all airports.

Malaysia you get an entry stamp so it's not a problem.

Vietnam I think you will need to get a visa in advance.
