90 Day Reporting By Post

Featured Replies

Just to clarify a few points as this is my first report. Want to cover all bases

1. I can report by post to Bangkok?

2. Photocopies of Docs can they all be on the same page (ie. Passport /Visa /stamp)? or are seperate pagers required?

3 How many days prior to 90day date would you send (90 day report date -6/1/2009)?

4.Stapled or loose?

Thanks for any help.

1. I can report by post to Bangkok
?

Mac says: yes

2. Photocopies of Docs can they all be on the same page (ie. Passport /Visa /stamp)? or are seperate pagers required?

Mac says: I use separate pages, only baht 1 or 2 per copy, don't want Suan Plu not to be satisfied and send the package back to me.

3 How many days prior to 90day date would you send (90 day report date -6/1/2009)?

Mac says: Well, how about sending one or two days prior to the due date. Send EMS or Registered, and be sure to save the Thai Post receipt as it has the Tracking # on it. Also be sure to put a baht 10 (ten) stamp on the self addressed return envelope.

4.Stapled or loose?

Mac says: I used a paperclip.

You have a 7 days grace period before and after the date you are supposed to do your reporting. So you can do from 7 days before till 7 days after.

The written instruction ( Thai and English) I received from immigration bureau says:

Simplified procedure for 90 days registration by mail.

Send registered mail to:

90 days registration

Room 20B,Immigration Bureau

Soi Suan Plu

South Sathorn Road

Bangkok 10120

The handout that was returned with the receipt doesn't mention signing the photocopies. It asks for photocopies of:

1. photo page of passport

2. current visa

3. departure card

4. last entry stamp

Changes from the previous handout I got are:

1 - Self-addressed envelope needs a 10 baht stamp. This up from 5 baht before.

2 - Mailing address is now:

Room 20b, Immigration Bureau (was room 401 before).

3 - Phone number is now: 0-228-3101 thru 10 ext. 2263 (ext. was 2240 before)
