What Are These Beans And What To Do With Them?

Featured Replies

These beans are long and heavy.

Each one weighs about 700 gramm. But being green they clearly uneatable. Now they turned a bit black and have pink bean seeds inside.

This pink cover is stinky, but white thing inside is ok, rather sweet.

Do you know how this sort of beans called?

Do you by any chance know how to cook them?

Thank you for any advice.

Showed my wife (who's cooked and eaten everything Thai). She says they "look like" Tua dang. But yours seem to be much bigger than the normal Thai pink bean. Is it from an exotic tree in your garden?

Your lack of hits on this topic may be ominous. Not much edible gets past the Thai palate.

Regards.
