30days Tourist Visa

I am an American and came in with 30days tourist visa.

I am currently applying for an one year ED visa but have not received an approval letter from the Ministry of Education yet.

My question is, can I get another 30days visa if I go to SG for a day?

Or do I have to stay for more than a day?

I would appreciate any input on this matter.

If you fly to anywhere you can come back the same day and get a 30 day visa exempt entry (it's not a tourist visa).

Cheapest flights probably would be to Malaysia on Air Asia.

I always thought I came in a 30day visa, didn't realize it was visa exempt entry.
