Non 'o' Through Marriage, What's Now Required

I am married to a Thai and a couple of years ago I went to KL with my marriage certificate and copies of the Wife's ID and obtained a 1 year Non 'O' , last year I had to go back to the UK anyway to visit family and got a Visa from Hull, what if any are the changes at KL or Penang now do I have to hold money in a bank account or is paperwork still enough.

KL you need to show a bank book with some money in the account. Enough at least to show you can support your family.
