December 12, 200817 yr Last night was the first time that I tried Bacchus, a wine bar and restaurant in the Ruam Rudi shopping mall. It is brilliant! I started with fresh Sydney oysters bathed in a broth of caviar. It was a very nice combination....I could have eaten more. For the main course I had the snow fish....excellent. Both dishes were beautifully presented. The wine list is extensive....one of the largest that I have seen....geographically mature and deep. The restaurant is on two floors with the bar and some dining tables on the ground floor. You can also eat comfortably at the bar as the seats are wide and comfortable, as is the bar itself. There is self parking available. The food menu is very cleverly designed. The starters averaged 200 baht. Main dishes 500+-. I might dine there again tonight.
