Thanks - some hedge funds should have done some serious hedging!

That the world economy is in trouble has been printed for over a year now. These guys could have gone short on stock indices, making a lot more than 50% the last few quarters.

And when many see an oportuinity to short a stock like wildly overpriced Volkswagen, they sell the stock instead of trading the future.

Bizarre.

I have worked at stocktrader office and we managed an hedgefund, the thing is they cant just go into any stock there are rules and regulations. Many times those restrictions are written down so they cant do what they want. Its all depends on the risk profile.
