Visa upon arrival at Azerbaijan for Thais.

My wife didn't  like getting spat on by the locals though  :o

so I don't recommend taking her there.

Jing jing, huh?

Hadn't heard it was that bad there now... :D

Have you been here Boon? If you have then let me bring you up to date...

My apartment costs more than the serviced apartment I was living in for my last project in Singapore...Orchard road...???...we get water at certain time of the day only, electricity is iffy, the phone is crap, give me your mobile number and we will talk for 10 minutes ($6/minute) and 50%of the phone call will be spent asking each other "if you can hear me". BTW rent is 2.2k US per month.

Anyway, it is a part of life isn't it?

You have my condolences, Leith.

No, I haven't taken the opportunity to work there myself but several of the boys with whom I work now have been employed by McDermott etc. - shore based in Baku.

Never quite as grim as you've illustrated but they were also single-status and took advantage of, shall we say the local "compaionship"? :D

Hope you're well-enough compensated monetarily to make it worth it. :D

I am mate I am :D The mcdermotts guys are on a hard wicket though, a lot of them have left because of it, I love being the client :D

Ask your mates about the company that can be found in the Coral, or blackjacks, hehehehe I know a few guys that have been tempted by the delights in those places only to wake up in the morning to find their apartment empty, even the fridge gone :D All furniture carried away in a Lada :D

We should catch up when we are both in LoS, I am sure we have a lot to talk about over a beer or two...and some mutual friends.

Merry Christmas pal.

My Thai wife & I used to do our visa run when living in Brazil to Paraguay. That's an interesting place!

If you have the chance to go to Carnival in Rio or Bahia you'll never forget it! :o

Stiffmyster.

Thai people can go to any country.

Do you actually mean, what countrys can Thai people go to Visa free ??

Were you being a smart ass or what?

no, the original question was posed very ambigously/inaccurately. Could be interpreted as :

a) what countrys can thai people travel to ?

:o what countrys can thai people travel to visa free ?

read the original post.i simply seeked clarifcation so that i could accurately add some valid advice.

Thai can visit visa free to Brasil for 90 days and extendable another 90 days. I have a few Thai friends living in Sao Paulo Brasil and I visit them everytime when I travel to Brasil. They told me a little secret that Brasil is the jump point for Thais girls who desperately want to enter Schengen countries or the USA to work, especially the super pretty models who dream of making big money in escort services in countries like Germany, France, Nederlands, Scandinavia, and USA.

My Thai friends told me that some smaller consulates of some Mediterrenean Schengen countries like Spain, Portugal, Italia, Greece in the Northeastern cities of Brasil like Salvador, Recife, Fortaleza ect, are somewhat loose and they have visa agents there in these towns who can arrange tourist visa for Thai and other nationals from these smaller Schengen consulates. The agents will charge a fee of from 4000 to 10000 Euros. But I heard the Thai young cutie gets about 200 Euro for a escort job in Germany or Nederlands. Also they told me US consulate in Recife in Northeastern Brasil also somewhat loose that visa agent also can arrange tourist visa for Thai female at about 10000 USD. They told me hundreds of super cutie Thai girls have entered into Schengen and USA to work for night entertainments in the past. I heard there are even sponsors who will pay for the visa fee for the girls first but deduct them off when they start working after arriving the country of destination. Very interesting story.

This was a really good question and there must be many members of this forum who know the website etc of a site that gives a list of countries that thais can visit without visas or with an easy VOA.

Why this thread had to be ruined by a few self indulgent ###### having a pop at each other, I dont know.

So far we have:

all Asian countries except Japan

South America: Brazil, Paraguay, Peru

A few African countries

and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Does anyone know of any other countries?
