Tile Patio Area Cost

I have an outside area about 55 sq m to have tiled The cement base has already been laid.

Any idea what the cost per sq metre should be about . I would supply the tiles

I have been quoted about 250 Bt per metre ie 13750 Bt seems expensive as the concrete base is already done but maybe theres more work than a non DIY man like me realises

Base price for laying straight forward floor tiles is from B110 a meter to B150 a meter. At this price you supply all the tiles, cement and bonding agent.

'Rat' Cement 110 a bag,

Bonding agent, B600 a tin

The total cost should be between 300 and 350 baht per square meter for standard 12 inch square tiles. I didn't notice any difference in price between textured non slip and the shiny surfaced tiles.

going back to the OP's original question, is more effort or more expense required to lay outdoor tiles? The wife just tiled front and rear terraces on our 3 connected shophouses - about 72 m2 - an' it shore was expensive...even using the same folks that have worked on other projects that know us...

nah...no confusion...from observation when my wife had the terraces tiled at our house(s). The outdoor tiles looked to be about twice the thickness of indoor tiles and had a non-glossy, textured (and patterned) surface...

the installers didn't look like they were working any harder and the cement that was used looked like plain 'ol cement but the cost of the exercise for about 72m2 of terrace was about 30k...

417 baht a meter!! Methinks that is too much, tiles can be thick or they can be thin, they can be small or they can be large, they can be non slip for floors or smooth for walls, the cost of laying them on the floor inside or outside or on a patio is 100 baht a meter. plus or minus a few baht.

Attached is a view from my house looking on the drive, total area of tiles around 350 sq meters at 100 baht a meter. Same cement, same thickness, 1 cm, plus bonding agent to ensure the new cement sticks to the old cement, otherwise it will lift.

Regret no tutsiwarrior the tiles cost 199 a meter and are look a like pebbles, I had a about three different crews on them and finally imported my own tilers from up country, they took one look at the mess that had gone on before and proceeded to tear up about 25 meters. Problem is that everyone says they can lay tiles, it's not until you go around tapping them them and looking at where they are cut badly that you realize you just going to have to tear them up and start again.

Around us experienced labor for laying tiles is B50-60/m².
