thaicbr
If you hold a ninja 250, no need to go buy a new ninja 250. Jumping from 250 to another 250 sounds not so reasonable for me just for a new design and stickers. Powerwise but bikes are same. But if you have lots of money why not of course. Or maybe you can jump for a bigger displacement bike. Just go buy a pipe and chip and enjoy your bike. Yes & no I mean many folks buy bikes strictly as a passion/hobby Not unlike many folks who change from a Apple I whatever to the new version. Basically still just a phone. Also many do not look only at displacement & many have actually come from larger bikes like myself so ultimately it is just what turns you on personally or is available compared to what else is available. For the old ninja's vs the New The 2013 is the first major change in quite awhile if I have read their history right. the engine, frame and suspension are all-new But to Pattayapip just depends on you personally. If your happy & just want a little more of a certain trait you can always modify that trait. Just depends what your reasons are. New pistons, cylinders and crankcases. Also, more torque in the mid and low range which should make it more user friendly than the previous model. You'll have to give us a ride report once you've put some miles on it Except it seems he doesn't actually put any mileage on the bikes. Op if you buy the new one go out and ride it. Your 40mins from some lovely riding roads. sent from my Q6
loserlazer
Pattayapip, if you dont mind losing some money just sell you4 old mate and buy 2013 model of course man. Old ninja250 looks ancient now if you compare it with the new one. Sent from my GT-N7100 using Thaivisa Connect App
pattayapip
I dont get home enough to ride it as i would like, but am starting to take it out much more than i used to, The Bike is in Baht and Sold, see what happens there, if someone wants it then i will go and buy the new one and report back, Hmmm might even buy the new one first we will see I also saw a 6 Year old CBR600RR that looks really nice but that may just be a little too much for here, although i used to have a few of them back home many years ago

irishtoffy
Hey..does anyone here know of a shop where I could get new tyres for the Ninja 250? Bridgestone BT-45 or Dunlop GT 501. Does anybody have experience with the Pirelli Sport Demons on Ninja? How were they? Also Im stuck in Ubon and would like to do a few mods..but no where around here seems to carry anything for a Ninja 250. In fact I think the nearest Kawa BB shop is 5/6 hours away. Any good shops in BKK with a decent website for mods?

We have just been talking about tires for the N250 over in the other thread http://www.thaivisa....0-breaks-cover/ I am going to go with the Pirelli Rosso II's on Monday Will write something in that thread about what I think about them after I ride them But have only heard good things. As for mods... The Thai website ninja250thailand "dot" com is great & their classified section is filled with shops that sell things. I am lucky there is no shortage of good shops etc here in Chiangmai But for me the Kawasaki Dealer here has been great & stocks everything Although I have ordered a helmet from on of the shops on that other site I mentioned. nikster
Here are some unmounted prices for Pirellis just so people know what prices they should be paying The DRIIs are great, recommended! They stick like crazy, turn really well, but also last a reasonably long time.
irishtoffy
Yea I was offered those Pirelli Rosso 2 tyres..but they looked more like track style tyres (to me) and I was a bit sceptical of the grip they would offer in the wet? I would certainly be interested to hear how you go with them, thanks. Yea CM is great for bike shops, there doesn't seem to be any big bike shops in Ubon..nearest is KK as far as Im aware

mania
They are great in the rain Yes from what I have been reading review wise on the Ninja 300 forums US they work very well in the wet. Folks have also been saying between the Corsa & the Rosso II The Rosso II is the better of the two for this bike/bikes this size on the street because you never really get the Corsa's up to a proper temp to take full advantage of their compound Edited January 20, 2013 by mania

Salapoo
I was just checking some of the Thai sites and these old gen ninjas have certainly bottomed out in the used market. 2012's for 95k and under. 2008's with pipes, tidy tails etc. for 75k. Might just buy one for the sake of it.
KRS1
If the thais are dropping them for those prices, id say they have bottomed out also. I think the 2009 had the redesigned head...my CBR 250 can keep up with a pre 2009, when its freshly lubed up...(top at 165kph), but the 2009-2012 is faster. (top at 175kph) buddy picked up a 2008 for 70k (5th owner)...
Salapoo
Jeez, 5th owner... in Thailand. That's kinda scary. I'm not sure I could buy a cheap bike knowing 5 Thais have have owned and probably tried to mod it or replace broken parts with pieces from their Click.
