Forget it.

I've been down this road and cover for term assurance is about 13 times the UK premium and that is certainly not with better companies.

Also, no-one can explain who is pocketing the difference as some bugger is lining their pockets. I do not mean Thai Visa (AA) here but some bugger is either ripping people off big style or they simply do not want the business. The rates bare no correlation to mortality rates at all.

Get your assurance in the UK or back home. Remember, insurance law (in the UK) states that what you say on the day you sign has to be correct, not what you were perhaps considering doing some time in the future. Think about it !
