george Posted January 10, 2009 Share Posted January 10, 2009 7 children, 2 mothers killed in road accident in Narathiwat Narathiwat: -- Seven children were killed and two mothers were fatally injured when their pick-up truck overturned and crashed into a tree, police said. The accident happened at 4:30 pm on the Phetkasem Road in Thungkha village in Yingor district's Tambon Laharo. Police said the truck was carrying about 20 children and some parents back from a trip to Pacho Waterfall in Bacho district. The truck lost control and fell into the ditch in the middle of the road before it overturned and crashed into a tree. The seven children died at the scene. Twelve other people were injured and were rushed to the Narathiwat Hospital.
