jayjayjayjay
Let's celebrate being second, second best or whatever way the TAT would like to wrap this. Thailand could be top, look at how greedy developers have raped this country from top to bottom. My gf on her recent visit to Oz was amazed at how clean, orderly and attractive overseas destinations are. In essense she wanted to know why Thailand was such an attractive tourist destination. I explained pot-holed roads, plastic strewn beaches, muddy rivers, entangled power/telephone wires and best of all, street front shophouses were of incredible interest to your average western! Let just say a source of entertainment for all!
mrtoad
I'm sure this is a duplicate thread, or it's been posted on another thread about a week or so ago Still not convinced by the reality on the ground of this report, becasue clearly the incoming tourist figures are significantly down. OlRedEyes
If you are at, close to, or within range of the top, you work at getting better, not constantly put out PR pronouncing how good you are. That's normally a sign of wanting to be there but no hope of getting there.

seank
There must be two Thailand’s as the one in the article is not the Thailand I am living in. -------------------------------- I looked up futurebrands website http://www.futurebrand.com/futurebrand.html and it says that Thailand is number 1 for value for money with India coming 2nd. Have a look at the website as there are dozens of categories so which ever country you come from, you can choose which category is favourable to you! Future Brand is an advertising company by the looks of it. Edited January 15, 2009 by seank
