Yes, a crazy toolbar, if i click on file it will go along and open all the others quickly, not permantley, just keep flashing across the screen, the only way i can get some sort of control is to go play a game then go back to Int exp and if im lucky it will work, sometimes by holding the ctrl key down,

I have managed to do chkdsk C & D and defrag ect, which a start-up blue page told me to do, ive run the macfee anti-virus many times to check for any possible problem and found none..

One more thing , if i have a choice of tick boxes, the left side box will shiver/quiver, if i tick it, it will go to the right side box, unless i hold the control key,

its not the mouse, ive used the touchpad and had the same problems,

Thanks for any ideas to cure this, Lickey,,

You may have accidentally downloaded one of those "special" Toolbars which some sites - including ThaiVisa - offer, many of these can cause conflicts with other IE Toolbars etc..

Right Click on the part of the IE Window which shows "File" "Edit" "View" etc., you will be presented with a list of Components which can be Loaded on the Toolbar - those which are Loaded have a check-mark next to them. Try unchecking any you don't use or don't recognise and see if that solves the problem.

Assuming you are talking about the Internet Explorer Toolbar.

Go to Tools, if the mouse can't get you there; Press down the ALT button, kepping it depressed - tap the T button.

The Tools drop down menu will (should) appear, tap the down cursor button twice to hightlight Mangage Add-ons... option, when highlighted press Enter.

A dialouge box should appear allowing you to enable/disable various add-ons within the IE enviroment.

Failing that use Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs to remove any 'new' software that has appeared without your knowledge/approval.

Thanks for the advice, the IE toolbar seems stable now, and i got into manage add ons and found some that wernt asked for, got rid of them, and the normal add-ons not re-quiring authorization, i disabled all, re started, and went into windows help and other web sites about active X ect, enabled some, but the same [new] problem is that once a web page is loaded, it rushes to the bottom and wont move without holding the ctrl key down,

any ideas please, TIA Lickey..
