i am applying for a business 3 month visa next week in KL i went to a lawyer to help with the paper work, he said its all complete but he doesnt seem have put a WP3 work permint application receipt, do i need one?? i have set up a partnership company??

Are you coming to Thailand to work ??....if so.... then yes you need a WP application receipt

If you are coming to Thailand to persue business prospects, then you dont need it...

ie The minute you sign any documentation on behalf of your partnership in Thailand you technically need a WP as this is classed as working even if you are being paid or not..

You will need a WP3 at any nearby consulate to get a B visa.

They assume if you are applying for a B visa you are going to work.
