Can I be guaranteed of receiving a non immigrant b visa same day by paying a surcharge.

Currently I am scheduled to leave BKK 4:20pm Wednesday for Penang and make the return trip leaving Penan at 8:10pm Friday.

Is it possible to submit the documentation early Thursday and receive the visa back in the afternoon?

I can change my return flight to the Thursday for a penalty charge of 500baht.

This would still make it worthwhile if a single day turnarouind is guaranteed as I would save on an extra nights hotel accomodation and would also be able to work on the Friday giving me an extra days pay.

I would advise doing it through an agent, I used one last Oct and it was easy and only cost 25R or so. Apparently, for an extra fee they can get it back the same day. I used the one at the front of the swiss hotel, can't recall the street name, but it's Penangs backpacker ghetto....batu something. I was a bit concerned about giving my passport over after alll the hassles here last year, but it was no problem.

Apply one morning and collect the visa the next afternoon is the normal procedure,

but do check for Thai or Malaysian holidays that may upset the apple cart.
