bkkmick Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Anyone else listen to BBC Radio online? Are you being prompted for a username and password? Is that the end of worldwide online BBC radio or has some dozy git put a password onto their anonymous server connection? Mick
Crossy Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Bugger, I get the same (from India) A username and password are being requested by http://nmswww0.mh.bbc.co.uk. The site says: "Staging Servers" Same on Radio 2 "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
bkkmick Posted February 20, 2009 Author Posted February 20, 2009 <deleted>...I've sent them an email - see if they reply.
delboy Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 I get the same in Chiang Mai. It seems consistant on all of their stations including local radio. It will be interesting to check their messageboards when they open at 9am GMT. I hope this is just an error that will be corrected soon, or at least give some instructions as to how we can obtain a user name & password.
bkkmick Posted February 20, 2009 Author Posted February 20, 2009 It seems like it's a problem their side that they're looking into. Phew. Got this email from them: Dear listener We're sorry you are not able to listen to 5 live in iPlayer at the moment. The BBC's technical team are aware of the problem and are working to resolve it. In the meantime, you might like to try clicking on the links in this page to see if they work for you instead: http://iplayerhelp.external.bbc.co.uk/help...eal_wma_streams Best wishes Greg Smith Radio 5 live
