I hope to be moving to Thailand next month. I have a number of Internet Betting Accounts with bookmakers in England and Ireland.

Does anyone know if this type of gambling is illegal in Thailand and if the law is enforced?

Thanks.

Its illegal, but you're not going to get arrested if you just keep it to yourself. The only problem you might have is that the Thai govt. blocks a lot of the bookmaker's sites. A lot, but not all. If you can call in your bets, you're still okay... And if not, there are still plenty of sites that can be accessed. Good luck.

Post at what sites you like to play. I will check for you whether they are available. Lots of sites prefer you to be online from your home country when you use your credit to open a new account on their site. If you use an international internet service provider like IP star (not IP tv), Then you will have access to everything since this is not covered by the thai authoroties. Here is shown the message from one site that has been closed. I do in no way want to encourage anybody to gamble.
