tgf put application in for uk tourist visa last week. how long does it normally take?

today (+ 7 days) she received 2 sms from them stating processed application returned to courier and 2nd sms stating application collected..

this gf telling me from over side of world! what does it mean yes or no?? when do you normally find out?

does anybody know of the service of getting the passport/application returned by courier? to save travelling back and time!

There is the option of having the passport returned by courier if the applicant lives in certain areas, but this has to be requested, and paid for, when submitting the application.
