After a few beers as Soi 8 pub, met up with Mrs and headed to Tapas around 730ish I guess. BTW walked passed Cheap Charlies and it was overflowing.

At Tapas, ordered a good mix of things, chorizo - parma ham platter, tomatoes and artichoke salad, gaspacio (the cold soup), calimari, scallops and half chicken with pototoes. I had a margerita and the mrs somekind of chocolate milk thingy.

Total cost including service charge and taxes 1830 baht.

Overall, service is very fast as this type of food is quick to prepare. Only negative comment (slight) was the chicken that obviously was prepared long in advance - kinda dry. Everything else - excellent! the scallops with garlic, pancetta and butter aroi aroi.

Nice it may be but at 36 GBP's for a little finger food like tapas and a couple of drinks I would want it to be excellent im afraid! :o

Never said it was cheap but alot of what we had was imported, and it was a little, it was alot.

Dont get me wrong I am prepared to pay good money for good food. The review you wrote did not give the impression you received value for money. :o

Tapas is an excellent joint. It's not especially cheap (but check out weekend specials: 3 tapas for price of 2, I think), but the portions aren't actually that small and BadassJames had a fair few dishes. The fat get.

I love this place. :o

Same here. Excellent wine list, esp Spanish riojas. I don't find the prices out of line given the quality of the food, the efficient service already noted by bkkjames, the friendly management and good atmosphere. Kind of place you could spend a few hours with friends sharing wine and tapas and not notice how the time (and money) slips away.

Not bad. Went there for lunch two years ago, had a great time sitting up in the mezzanine, and drinking for hours. But it's sorta outta the way (a side alley to Soi 11), I just forgot about it and never went back. Thanks for the reminder, BKJ.

I liked the wine list too.

Anyone tried that big shiny Italian place in front of Limoncello?
