I have 2 TRs,

1st one runs out 22nd March,I dont want to extend this for 30 days, as this would mean to do a visa run around Songkran.

So i want to go Cambodia for a few days, but cheap tickets start on the 23rd March.

What concerns me is, if they will cancell my second TR, because of 1 day overstay on the 1st.

I know i can spend 1900b to extend.

Thanks in advance Daz

They will not cancel your visa for an overstay. When leaving by air the first day of overstay is waived, but they will put a stamp in your passport that you were on overstay. So far no consequences of that have been reported.

You will get a stamp in your passport, saying you were on overstay, but you don't have to pay the fine (this only applies at airports).

However, you MUST utilize your visa on or before the stamped date, otherwise the second entry will be void. Correct me if I'm wrong!

Yes. You must enter before the "Use before" date.

Yup the use by date is 19th April, right in the middle of Songkran week.

Means i am paying to extend 1900b for a few weeks.

As i would do a visa run, 1st week in April, to escape the Songkran commotion.

Thanks for the advice.

Cheap tickets on the 23rd of March are gone anyway.

It was a saving of 850b.

Peanuts i know, but peanuts better off in my pocket.

All the best.

This is a good website.
