Hi,

I have an indian passport and would be travelling to bangkok with my spouse( also indian passport) on a non-immigrant work visa for an year( multiple entry) from april 2009. My wife will be travelling with me on non immigrant O type visa. Our child was born in USA nad has a US passport. As a US citizen my child is allowed to stay only for 90 days as a tourist and will have to travel to another country for extension.

For my child, can I get an O type non immigrant visa and avoid visa run every 90 days.

Thanks

Yes, he can get a non-O as well and get extensions of stay as your dependend if you yourself get a one year extension of stay from immigration.

This would mean you getting a 12 month extension from Immigration for yourself, not a Visa.

If he enters on a Visa he would not be fined for overstay if you decided not to take him on border runs. Children are not fined.
