Egg Allergy?

Featured Replies

I am prompted to post this now because my wife has just made an omlette. It smells great but I can't eat any because if I did then I know that I would end up doubled up in pain with a bad stomach, and for a few hours.

I never used to be this way and always enjoyed eating egg without a problem, until I couple of years ago when I ate some food that must have been 'dodgy' leaving me violently ill for a night and since that night I have always had a reaction to egg. I used to think that maybe one of the oysters that I had wasn't fresh and assumed that my body was reacting to sea-food by making me Ill each time I ate it. Since though I have found that sea food is not the problem but egg is.

Is there anything that I could do to remedy this?

Any advice would be appreciated as I do long for an egg and mayo sandwich.

Thanks.

most probably it's the protein from the white of the egg, try just to eat only yolk.

eggs are a common allergens, you just to have cut them out.
