Lancelot Posted November 1, 2009 Share Posted November 1, 2009 I used to have a tank type water heater (WH) and I connected it to an automatic switch turing it on for two hours in the morning and two in the evening. Turing the WH off save on the standby losses previously mentioned. Since Thailand has so much sunshine, have you considered a Solar Water heater to preheat the water before it enters the WH tank?
