Massage?

Morning guys,

Had a terrible pain in my lower neck/upper spine for the past week now. Sometimes get this when I sleep in a strange position or the air con blasts me, but normally it is gone after a few days. This one will not shift!

I work around the lower Sukhumvit's and wondered if any of you know of a good place I can get this massaged?? I play a lot of golf and have not been able to play for the past week because of this.

This is the problem I encountered last time I wanted this done. I didn't want to end up being fed by tubes just because of a stiff neck.

You might try the physiotherapy/rehab dept at Bumrungrad, they are (or used to be) surprisingly inexpensive given the hospital, can do among other things ultrasound heat, acupuncture as well as therapeutic massage and exercises.

It's tucked away on the mezzanine floor kind of around where the ATM machines are

They'll probably provide ultrasound heat and acupuncture on demand but may want you to at least get an Xray before massage or exercises and indeed that might not be a bad idea...

As for the ordinary (traditional) massage places it all depends on the skill of the individual massuese and they tend to have a high turnover making recommendations a bit difficult. In addition want to be sure that it is only a muscle problem and not a structural one before you let someone start manipulating your neck.
