Thai consulate in penang

Featured Replies

Would anyone happen to know what the NEW INCREASED costs are for A 1 year multiple entry NON B visa is in Penang

and can you pay for it at the consulate in Thai Baht or US Dollars instead of

Malaysian Ringit?

Dave

If you look at the big mega-thread under this category you will find that the new regulations will not kick in until July of next year. That being the case then you can get a one year 'O' visa for 150 ringgit at the Thai consulate in Penang. For 'B' visas other restrictions may apply. Best to email site admnistrators lopburi, george, etc in this regard. I got the impression that ringgit are required for the transaction.
apart from next years changes i was under the impression that all visa fees have increased in cost as from early august this year,i think the cost of a one year non-immig. visa was trebled.

I have tried emailing the consulate in Penang and

KL for this information but had no reply at all.

My time will be limited when i get there

so I am just trying to find out in advance........

i thought the non b was now 5000 baht, and i thought you had to pay in thai baht.
At Thai Embassies/Consulates abroad you always have to pay for the visa in the local currency, they dont accept Baht.
thats not the case in laos but hey i think paying 500000 kip would be alittle bit time consuming hahaha
