Body of Man Found with Throat Slit in Apartment, Najomtien
Picture from responders. The body of a man was found with his throat slit in an apartment in Chonburi province. The scene appeared to have been staged to resemble a suicide, with the body laid on the bed as though the victim had taken his own life. A knife was found at the scene. At 09:30 on September 21, Lt. Col. Natchapon Saengsi, deputy investigative inspector of Najomtien Police Station in Sattahip District, Chonburi, responded to a report of a murder at a public housing project, building 61, in Najomtien. The investigation was led by Police Colonel Watchanchai Saengrith, Superintendent of Najomtien Police Station, with forensic experts from Chonburi's Forensic Science Centre and rescue workers from Sawang Rojanathammasathan Foundation. Upon arriving at the scene, police found a large pool of blood in the living room, along with a sharp kitchen knife in the blood. There were signs that the body had been dragged into the bedroom. The deceased, identified as 24-year-old Mr. Anucha, was found lying on his side on the bed, resembling a sleeping position, but with a deep cut across his throat. In the kitchen, traces of blood were discovered, though they had been partially washed away. Authorities suspect the perpetrator may have fled through the back of the room. There were no signs of struggle in the apartment, raising further suspicions. Neighbours reported noticing a strong smell of blood around 22:00 the previous night (September 20), but did not act until the next morning, when the odour intensified. They alerted a security guard, who checked the apartment through a window and saw the blood, prompting a call to the police. Mr. Wichai, 60, the father of the victim, arrived at the scene in deep grief. He stated that his son was quiet and kept to himself, having only one close friend who he described as a tall, fair-skinned man serving in the military. The father noted that this friend had visited his son's apartment but was unable to provide further details. Police, together with forensic experts, collected all evidence from the apartment. Initial investigations suggest the case was probably not suicide, as it was just staged to appear as such. Officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas and questioning the victim’s friends and acquaintances. The body has been sent to the Forensic Institute at the Police General Hospital in Bangkok for a detailed autopsy. Investigators are withholding further details until they receive the autopsy results and gather more evidence to proceed with legal action. -- 2024-09-22 -

If one really wants to lead a healthier life, with a healthier brain. War destroys brain cells, as we all know, just like Chang. Have you ever heard of PTSD from war and Chang? I have.... Anyway: I was in Vietnam DaNang...in 1971, not to mention Cameron Bay...too.... A lot of Singapore beer...too.... Not good for the brain cells, the beer from Singapore.... No wonder....that..... Singaporeans speak English like they do.... These days. Singapore English is a total mess.... And, even they know it. Yet...now....the Singaporean English situation is...completely beyond hope and....entirely.... SNAFU! -

You guys might know.... The video I posted, HENDRIX-with-Vietnam-footage.... Is just so....filled with stark memories of the days I was growing up...before I hit 20....back in 1969. Hard to explain the super-deep feelings that well up when watching this video.... And, it's kind of an amazing video....in my very humble opinion. But you might not know, unless you had been my age...at that time in history...in the USA. Impossible to communicate the feeling....really.... -

Pedestrian Struck on Crossing by Motorbike: Suffers Broken Ribs and Ruptured Spleen

The incident, which took place on September 19, has left the victim with broken ribs and a ruptured spleen. The victim's family hopes this tragic event serves as a warning for road users to be more cautious. CCTV footage captured the moment the pedestrian, a man carrying a backpack, waited at the crossing outside Sathira Dhammasathan on Watcharaphon Road. Two cars stopped to allow him to cross, and the pedestrian acknowledged the gesture with a nod of thanks before beginning to walk across the four-lane road, which is divided into two outbound and two inbound lanes. However, just as he was halfway across the road, a speeding motorbike approached from the right and collided with him, sending his body flying nearly 10 metres. The motorbike also crashed to the ground following the impact. The victim’s relatives reported that he had just finished work and was on his way to pick up his wife and child when the accident occurred. Despite the crossing being a designated safe area for pedestrians, the motorbike struck him with such force that he suffered severe injuries. The motorbike rider, a 33-year-old man, did not flee the scene and voluntarily presented himself at Khan Na Yao police station. The police determined that the motorcyclist had been driving recklessly, and the rider admitted fault, signing a statement to that effect. The injured man’s family expressed their frustration, emphasising that this was not the first time a pedestrian had been severely hurt due to a driver’s negligence.
