What Will The Thai's Do If There Are Heavy T-storms During Song Kran

The last few days there has been some heavy rain and lightening at night. What would the Thai's do if it rained heavily during the day? Yes I am hoping for a divine case of Som Nam Nah when someone with a water cannon gets a 2.2 Gigawatt smackdown.

Most water guns should be made out of plastic so there for it wouldn’t be a conductor for a bolt of lighting, and why would you want someone to get stuck by lighting in the 1st plaice is beyond me.

The Thais take great delight in drenching any person whether they be bone dry or wringing wet before the event. So a rainstorm of any intensity will have zippo effect although I will contend that they have been celebrating Songkran in it's current form for the last 2552 years. 25 years maybe but not much longer.

As for wishing them struck by lightning, the possibility exists for an indirect strike if they are stood near a tree or structure that gets hit but the presence of the water pistol will make no difference. Although I would not wish for a bolt from the "blue" to zap anyone there are times during Songkran when I am relieved that I don't have powers of divine intervention but mostly with farangs. :o
