Cost Of A Divorce In The Kingdom.

Featured Replies

After 20yrs hereI feel it's time to head home, so what are the ins and outs of a divorce eg; time, cost and maintenance along with splitting the assets, thanks for any input.

If both in agreement on divorce & division of assets then can be done at the local amphur very cheaply & painlessly. if things have not been agreed or there is bad feeling then it's the usual process. Get lawyer, fight it out, pay a load of legal fees.

also is there a specific reason this is in the Phuket forum? I will move it to the family section until advised.

No Boo, just my mistake, wasn't thinking straight, she can have everything as she doesn't want to come to England as we have a daughter just about to start university, after chatting we will do it as amicably as possible, in which case does it still take a time?.

As I understand (from thaivisa & 2nd hand experience of friends) a trip to the local amphur with your original wedding certificates, passport/id card etc & it can be done then & there.

Best of luck & i hope it all works out peacefully.
