Baseball was created in America but it isn't just Virginia farm boys hopping around those big ballparks you know?

No - it was created in England in Tudor times and called rounders. Check out this :D

I stand corrected. Thanks for the input Pnustedt. I had no idea.

How does my ignorance look today??????? :o:D

I've never met a nice South African,

And It's not Blooody suprising man,

Cos they're a bunch of horrible bastards.

Anyone remember Spitting Image? :D

So true. I used to live with about 10 of them years ago. Nice to a point but when you needed some back up. Where were they? Hate the Africaans accent. Though i once went out with a Saffie. Good in bed. Split up with her and later found out she batted for both sides. Gutted! The possiblities if she had told me. Bitch! Her family was rich as fukc also. Been to SA twice and met some good people but the majority are fukced up. Racist ######ers.

Felt like someone had to stick up the French so I'll have a stab at it

How about the wine, the cheese, the baguettes, the fact that knowone seems to have a problem with dinner lasting for 4 or 5 hours and finally the sexiest of sexy accents on the French girls  :D

French wine, cheeses, baguettes says nothing about the French as 'people'..... and ANY accent saying, "Ken I suk your deeck?" is sexy. :o

Thats an Aussie accent!

Sorry ladyinred the "mussels in white wine " is a belgian dish from mussels grown in Holland (zeeland) :D

and the "Lemony tasting beer (white beer?)" is called hoegaarden and is from a small village in belgium as well  :o.

Quite right darknight on zee mussels..

The lemony tasting beeer is definitely not hoegaarden. It's kinda like a home brew, special to that pub. They make strawberry and banana beers too. I think locally they call it 'whiit bier' (excuse my dutch!) - nobody cans that beer.. and i love every last drop of it :D

Belgium: Chocolates, Best food at the best price , better then france. Best beer variety (more then 400 different kinds).

You're French then Darknight eh ?

:D

ps My Fave beer is Leffe.....

NOpe , Flemish belgian , the best between the dutch and the french ... :o

aah , leffe .... dark or blond ? a real classic with a morcel of cheese next to it.

That's right, the Flemish are totally different then French Belgians, Flemish are a lot more open, polite,... and not to mention you can talk to them in English, German, French and most of them will understand, what other country do you have that????

Regarding France, most of the French who go to LOS are from Turkey, Marocco, Algeria, so not the tipical French...

And Spanish, where I live now, are miserable ...

Japanese and Koreans seem to be the biggest kids when they're on holiday

Americans - generally good neighbours, go-getters, havent invaded us since 1814. Jazz, rock, blues.

Brits - best television, let us use the queen.

Mexicans - Food, music, hard workers.

French - contributed alot to Canadian culture, take excellent care of our war cemetaries, hospitable.

Thais - enterprising, resilliant, good hearted, make me appreciate Canadian drivers.

Kiwis - easygoing, great rugby players, make thai drivers look good, best drinking buds. Easy to beat at pool.

Aussies - AFL footy(except Collingwood), 4&20 pies, Monaros, VB, XXXX, Cold, can (have to) take a joke.

Irish - Love a good time, good to have on your side in a scrap, don't beat you up when you crash a wedding party.

Japanese - Good cinema, messed up cartoons, quirky culture.

Koreans - Best service, tough and resourceful, make good TVs.

Chinese - Art, literiture, cinema, food.

have never tried it myself, but know a guy, who (being in that "business") certainly has plenty of experience, and he was prepared to swear a holy oath that the best b**w job he ever got came from a guy - have to add, he is be!! :D:D

I heard a few Aussies tell me on seprarate occassions...that the best head they've gotten was not by sheilas but by their hoovers.

I don't know about that...but I guess one perk of a vacuum-job is the lack of clean-up afterwards.

This may be true...but, the most popular sport in America (American Football) has very little resemblance to it's predecessor (Rugby), and hasn't since the invention of the forward pass nearly 100 years ago.

Slightly off topic (very OT actually :o ) but I do believe that the only sport invented in America was Basket Ball.

As this was my first post, :D I’m thinking to put this topic to bed. The feedback was good and it showed mostly good human nature. :o Wasn't surprised that many, could find much to like, about France/French, :D my mothers side of my Ancestors were French and I still shudder thinking about the Christmas Party’s I was dragged to as a child. At the peak of attendance 50 people in small groups and nobody talking to each other. :D The good is that my father’s side were Scot and Irish, the strange fun side I like to think. :D Best party’s I ever went to were the Wakes after the Funeral, and we observed the no drink in the Church rule but before and especially after it was game on. :D It’s too bad that you can’t live twice just for the wake. :D

This is a community notice I found on the web.

Please note that if the funeral wake extends more than 7 days after death, prior written permission will have to be sought from the National Environment Agency

Now that must be a fun place to live, no Google guess which country, here’s the link

http://www.nea.gov.sg/atad/arrange.htm

This was my pick, oh he tried to find good in others. :D

England ------> Wonderful wit and manners (exclude the yobs please)

Germany --------> Their hard work in pursuit of excellence und correctness

Irish ---------> Just gotta love the Irish in any pub in any part of the wirld

Aussies -------> Their confidence, can do, and optimism.

France ------> Need some time for that one

Thais --------> Their smile and worldly innocence

Japan --------> Their relentless pursuit of perfection

Italians -------> Their passion for life

Swiss -------> Because while there is not much to like, there is about nothing to dislike

France ------> Still working on that one

Polish --------> Because hard work, showing up, and keeping clean without making trouble is a great way to live

Russian -------> A brutal wit in the face of insurmountable problems

France -----> There is something, just give me a minute

Scandanavians -------> Plain friendly and cheerful

I will work on something for France and post if I can come up with something.
