firstly, I am grateful for board members for all advice and information you have provided. this is an invaluable resource.

my latest question is does anyone know of pilates sessions in CM? if so where and when and who to contact.

Sorry Cocol, the place I thought did it does not, I checked today. however my Gym has an aerobics studio, do you want me to find out if you can "Pay As You Go" or have to be a member?

What the deuce is pilates? I have just looked up a website named pilates.com, which carries seemingly medieval apparatuses that appear to be made for the purpose of bending people into unnatural postures.

Can somebody shed some light on the subject?

Google has a great feature. If you want to find out the definition of some word you just type in "define:pilates", with no space after the ':', and here is what you get:
