What's The Name Of This Snack Found In Siam Square

Featured Replies

Everytime I go to Siam Square, there is this food stall selling a green snack that kind of resembles pancakes/cupcakes??? The smell is heavenly and there is always a queue for it.

What is the name of this snack? Is it a Thai snack or fusion food?

Thanks for your help as I can't stop thinking of it.

my guess will be ขนมสาลี่ kha nohm saa lee

the green color and fragrant smell is from pandan leaves...

Nope. It resembles Khanom Krok...except it's a rich green colour with no filling.

Everytime I go to Siam Square......................

Sorry to digress from your original post.

It appears you visit Siam Square often! I started a thread some time ago asking what some ladies at a certain food stall were selling. The thread is below:

Are they still around there.....close to the Hard Rock Cafe at I think around office closing time? If you do go there soon, could you check out if they still sell there and find out the name of their dish? I am not 100% sure we identified it before. :o

its classified as khanom bah bin - someone's own creation

i dont think it is bah bin at all

but im not sure what they are called!

kinda like thai style mini waffles, but in green colour.

bah bin has a lot of shredded coconut in them. these 'waffles' do not. they are just dough based. (I think...)
