Hi, hoping someone can give quick answer to this.

Child/baby is born in Singapore to Thai mother/Singaporean father.

Thai mother is here at present with child who I assume is on a Singaporean passport with visa on entry.

The 30 day visa entry is due to expire and mother & baby wish to stay for another month.

What is the most straight forward way for this to be effected so the baby can stay for another 30 days?

Also, is the baby entitled to Thai passport and if so, how is this done (and is this a way to get around the first question? I assume not possible to do in short timescale as father and birth certificate are in Singapore).

Thanks in advance

There is no problem, children under (insert arbitrary age 'coz I forget but it's 10 or so) are not issued with overstay fines.

There could be issues with the Thai PP as I believe Singapore forbid dual nationality (although if nobody tells them they won't know).

See this webpage from embassy website about getting the baby a Thai passport.

The baby is probably eligible for Singapore citizenship also.

You should be able to find answers to your other questions on this website for immigration in Singapore.
